Shopping is concentrated in Andorra la Vella and adjoining Escaldes-Engordany. Technically, it's not tax free. There are no sales taxes, but the government does charge a nominal duty on imports. Best buys are in liquors, wines, perfumes and colognes. Cameras and electronics can also be bargains, but if you're planning a big-ticket purchase, check prices at home and around Andorra. Boutiques sell European clothing, mostly from France, Spain and Italy. Furs, shoes and other leather products can be good buys. Stamp collectors will want to buy the distinctive local stamps.
