The best months to visit are April-May and October-November, when days are normally sunny, clear and fairly warm. The springtime offers the additional advantage of the rhododendrons in bloom, but the blooming season is subject to occasional storms. December-March can also be beautiful but cold, especially at night. Summer months are the monsoon season, when the advantages of warmer temperatures are offset by heavy rains.
