Lucerne

Lucerne is one of Switzerland's most remarkable medieval cities. The Chapel Bridge which was rebuilt after a fire in 1993, covered with wonderful paintings of Lucerne's history on the ceiling. The another attraction medieval wooden footbridge in town called the Spreuerbrucke, which has macabre paintings of the Dance of Death on its ceiling. The must-see places are the Folk-Costume Museum, the Panorama Museum, the Am Rhyn Mansion a remarkable Picasso collection and a very unusual bread museum. Don't miss the Jesuit church and the Lion of Lucerne, a dramatic rock sculpture of a dying lion which is a monument to the Swiss Guards who fought and died protecting Louis XVI during the French Revolution.
