Lausanne

Lausanne is the headquarters for the International Olympic Committee which has a museum tracing the history of the Olympics. Lausanne is located on the northern bank of Lake Geneva. The main attractions of the city are the exquisite 12th-century Gothic cathedral, the Cite-the older part of the city, the port area, the 13th-century tower and the 14th century Chateau St. Maire. The Art Brut Museum has interesting and inventive works done by unconventional artists.
