Krabi

Krabi is Known for its "Graveyard of Shells", It also has nice beaches and an interesting botanical garden. The beaches in Krabi are crowded in winter, as are the beautiful nearby Phi Phi Islands about 40 mi/60 km off the coast. The Phi Phis are being developed for tourism but, for the moment, remain lovely: white-sand beaches ring the islands and green cliffs rise from the clear green water. Krabi is 40 mi/65 km northeast of Phuket.
