Cameron Highlands

Cameron Highlands is a remarkable place to escape the heat which has one of the finest climates in all of Southeast Asia and it became the most important "hill station" during British times. You can spend several days there seeing butterflies, orchids, waterfalls, great scenery and tea plantations. There are several hiking trails for daytime walks into the jungle. The walks range from short paved trails to small expeditions. The information center in Tanah Rata distributes a trail map and a brochure that describes the level of difficulty. Dont miss the tea plantations, the fields of tea plants are a dramatic contrast to the surrounding jungle vegetation.
