Historical Museum

Operated by the university of Oslo, The Historical museum has the marvelous collection of prehistoric objects and also a rich collection of ecclesiastical art in a series of portails from stave churches. In the medieval hall, look for the reddish Ringerike Alstad stone, which was carved in relief and the Dynna Stone the 11th century runic stone honoring the handiest maiden in Hadeland. The Treasure House in which Viking artifacts and a display of gold and silver from the 2nd to 13th century.
