National Museum of Western Art
The National Museum of western Art houses the Matsukata collection, a collection that was seizedby France during World War II and then late in 1959 handed back to Japan as part of the San Franscisco peace Treaty. In which the collection of the works of Rodin, Monet, picasso, Van Gogh and cezanne. The famous paintings are Picasso's couple and Ledger's "Red clock and Blue sky". The main attractions are the Tokyo National Museum Tokyo Metropolitan museum of Art, The National Science museum all located in Ueno Park. The collector, Kojiro Matsukata (1865-1950) was a politician and wealthy Businessman with intersts in the shipbuilding and newspaper industries. The collection includes paintings by Rubens and Mariotto Di Nardo.
